Designed in Graphic Design class, I wanted to show that anyone can be a victim especially when it comes to mental illnesses because there might not always be obvious signs and if we continue to be willfully ignorant or silence those around us, we will all end up losing loved ones.
The assignment was to draw a still life of different furniture pieces but instead of looking at the chair itself, we were to draw the space around it. I drew and shaded all the empty space around a chair and stool.
The girl that first sparked my interest in photography. When we were children, we would play “model” where she would pretend to be a movie star and I would be her photographer for Vogue. Who knew many years later, we should still be best friends and I would still be photographing her.
The assignment was to use every color in the color wheel but at the same time avoid a rainbow arrangement. I paired opposite colors together to create a contrasting cosmic scene against a black background.
Here are some extra shots and close ups of my Ephemeral Sculpture Project which can be found under the “All Projects” tab.
